Social Login API Overview

As you might guess from the name, the Social Login API is used to manage and configure social logins. The API consists of a number of different endpoints, including:

These endpoints focus on the mechanics of the login process including authentication, app settings, identity providers, and social profile data.

The Social Sharing Endpoints

These endpoints focus on Social Sharing tasks, including getting/setting an app's sharing providers, returning the number of a times a given URL has been shared, and sharing activity information with a provider or specified recipients on a provider's network.

The App Whitelist Endpoints

These endpoints query and change domains for an application's whitelist.

The Backplane Server Endpoints

These endpoints query and configure the Backplane server (used to communicate with all of the Backplane-enabled apps on a page).

The Account Mapping Endpoints

These endpoints query and change Social Login account mappings (the associations between a conventional user account and all of a user's social identities).
