NOTE! Use of Identity Cloud’s RBA feature requires the RBA add-on for Hosted Login in your contract with Akamai. Please contact your Akamai Identity Cloud representative to make sure you’re covered.

Hosted Login v2

Risk-based Authentication (RBA) is a feature available starting in Hosted Login v2.

In order to implement RBA for your application, you may need to upgrade to v2 first. This is most likely the case if your Hosted Login instance was provisioned before October 1, 2020. To upgrade, follow the steps in the Hosted Login v2 Upgrade Guide.

Not sure if you’re using v2 or not? Follow the steps in the upgrade guide to find out.

Remove v1 verification email

When you upgrade to v2 and enable RBA, Hosted Login will start sending a new verification email. However, the upgrade to v2 does not remove the v1 verification email - which means the user may receive both v1 and v2 emails upon registration.

If this is the case, make sure to complete the steps to Remove v1 email in the Hosted Login v2 Upgrade Guide.
